The Wishbone Trust provides funding grants for orthopaedic research in New Zealand. Operating under the umbrella of the NZOA, the Trust is independently funded through a biannual 'hip walk".
Applications for grants are called for at the beginning of each year through the Secretary of the NZOA and are considered by the independent trustees (current Chairman, Sir Wilson Whineray).
