It is with great pleasure that NZOA President Khalid Mohammed and co-convenors Nick Lash, Richard Lloyd & Brad Stone invite our colleagues to register for the NZOA ASM 2025 in Queenstown.
The theme of this years meeting is Complications and Complaints

The international guests for the meeting are Pascal Boileau (France), Jegan Krishnan (Australia)
& Silken Laumann (Canada)
Pascal & Jegan both have extensive involvement in global orthopaedic education. Pascal is a giant in shoulder surgery and Jegan has worked extensively teaching in India, China, and Africa.
Silken is a 4-time Olympian single skulls rower, 3-time Olympic medalist & Canadian Of The Year in 1996 after overcoming diverse adversities. She now dedicates her time now to helping others and founded a mental health charity  -Unsinkable

The programme includes a medicolegal session covering the complaints process that will feature presentations from:
The Health and Disability Commissioner: Morag McDowell
The Chair of the Medical Council of New Zealand: Dr Rachelle Love
ACC Treatment Injury presentation: Denis Atkinson

Silken & NZ's Nick Petrie will also present open lectures focusing on resilience and managing stress.

He mesmerised delegates at the Nelson 2023 ASM with his wisdom and journey from professional rugby, to cancer survivor then Harvard masters graduate and now inspirational speaker and author.

The Gala Dinner is always a fun opportunity to catch up & in 2025 we're on top of the world at Skyline with a programme including presentations from All Blacks, Richie McCaw, Israel Dagg and Colin Slade

This year the pre-ASM meetings convening on 18-19 October are with our
