Orthopaedic Sub Specialty Societies or groups offer Members the opportunity to focus on research and science in their particular area of interest, share opinions, advocate and educate.
The Sub Specialty Societies contribute representatives to NZOA Committees such as the NZOA ACC & Third Party Liaison Committee and the NZOA Health Technology Committee, to review and approve ACC Red List Applications for complex procedures, and to provide reviewers for the Health and Disability Commissioner, and medical reviews.
The Societies hold regular meetings and offer opportunities for collegial support and networking.
