We were thrilled to welcome so many Te Whatu Ora hospital teams both old and new, alongside supporting stakeholders, to the New Zealand Hip Fest in Wellington on Monday, September 15th!

With 105 attendees, it was our biggest day of education event yet. A huge thank you to all guest speakers, panel members, and attendees for sharing your expertise and energy.

This year's focus was 'Harnessing the power of the team,' and we loved showcasing good practice and tackling challenges in hip fracture care through engaging case studies and lively panel discussions in the morning and afternoon presentations on Equity, Sip Till Send and Auckland City Hospital’s Hip Fracture Ward project.

“Hip Fest is a highlight of the year and it was amazing to see such engagement and passion in the room to improving hip fracture care for our older vulnerable patients” states Nicola Ward, NZ HFR Coordinator. We're already excited for Auckland in 2026!
