Congratulations to the 2025 SET 5 cohort of NZOA candidates who after 5 years of hard work deservedly passed the Fellowship Exam on 24-25 May 2025.
Nic Buckley is one of those trainees who passed and sent in the following:
This tight group first came together at SET 1 Training Weekend in Invercargill in 2021. They have enjoyed training positions across the reaches of our whenua and have come together at each subsequent training weekend, relishing each other’s company and sharing their knowledge.
They are pictured here in front of the Scott Building of the Otago Medical School in Dunedin, at the conclusion of an extraordinary pre-exam course. They were full of nerves but smiling, nonetheless. The following week they came together again, now at North Shore Hospital and this time, they climbed a lofty mountain.
We wish them every success for their very exciting future, starting with finishing their SET 5 year and Fellowship before settling back to NZ as Orthopaedic Consultants.
Congratulations to Ailsa Wilson, Caitlin Bodian, Nicola Atkinson, Doug Hancock, Fraser Prendergast, Justin Mathews, Kong Koul, Mark Zhu, Michael van der Merwe, Nic Buckley and Ayaaz Ebramjee.
