Clinical Question: Does preoperative anticoagulation represent an independent risk factor for mortality in the acute hip fracture?

Summary: This is a retrospective review across two metropolitan centres (Middlemore and Auckland City Hospitals) of hip fractures presenting over a two year period. Data collection has been completed, and analysis of results out to five years is being completed, prior to intended publication.
